How are you love?
Really?
I wanted to write you, write to you and ask how you are feeling during these different, challenging and unfamiliar times. How is your mental, physical and spiritual health? Are you being kind to yourself or being self-critical? How are your family and friends? Are you feeling more isolated and alone than usual?
Maybe you’re like me. Some days, I’m good, ok, blah, meh, and others I am sad, frustrated, picking myself apart, listening to Maxwell’s ‘This Woman’s Work‘ on repeat, screeching the lyrics at the top of my lungs. (I never really noticed the country music elements in that song.) It becomes second nature to pretend you’re fine to all those around you, EVEN when they may not be around you. Over the years I have been focused on distancing myself from anything or anyone taking from my inner peace. I continue to work on rewriting the script where I hide how I really feel. I am doing this even more so during this time of quarantine and welcome the chance to reflect on who I am right now and who I am still becoming!
I want you to know I am thinking of you. There is no manuscript that tells you what to do with your feelings. We are all processing and managing things the best way we can and ALL of what you feel is important. I am sure right now there are those internal and external struggles that are pulling you in all directions. If you can, find time to listen to what YOU need. The voice is there and if you listen close enough you will hear it. Can I help?
I am praying you for you, for us.
Stay close and if you need me, I am here!
Donna-Marie xoxo
