Happy December! I am going to be sharing a new blog everyday for 12 days of Christmas (well… the first 12 days of the month). December is my fave month of the year, not because it is my birthday month but simply because I love the warmth (not if you’re in the UK) this time of year brings. I look forward to times of reflection as another year draws to a close.
I wanted to do something a little bit different and ‘shout-out’ some of my amazing friends who have small businesses/ concepts or are freelance, independent contractors . I am blessed to know a range of talented people from photographers to hair stylists, apparel designers to chefs and of course my personal faves beauty and skin professionals. I have personally experienced their quality products and/or services that have been crafted with care. Now… this IS NOT A SPONSORED POST. I have purchased goods or services with my own money, without discount or favour. This blog post is very much like my ‘Straight… No Chaser’ reviews, I wouldn’t signpost you to anything I wouldn’t use myself.
Over the next couple of days, I will be highlighting these small businesses, which I hope you will check out. They have some awesome gift ideas/ services for any occasion, especially Christmas. There will also be some new ‘Straight… no chaser’ reviews on some of these brands so look out for those. First up, beauty- part 1 in no particular order…

MFA Hair @mfa_hair – Hair extensions, wigs, hairstyling, natural hair, and all things hair then look no further than Marvin Francis. He is a seasoned vet in the hair game with a passion and talent for hair (whether it is yours or paid for) with awards to prove it. His celebrity client list is top tier so get in quick. My extensive wig collection is down to him… I’ll be sharing more on that soon. Hey, I would not be mad at a wig from MFA Hair for Christmas or even my birthday 🥳
Korell Williams @cut2williams – Korell is responsible for many of my fly hair styles over the years. From my short hair to red hair, braided hair to natural hair and everything else in between, Korell is that guy! We have collaborated on some amazing shoots (just look below) including high fashion and commercial- he is an award-winning, creative genius when it comes to hair and his celebrity clientele list is enviable. You can find him working his magic at @amazonsalonuk. He does it all, natural, wigs, braids and more. Korell is a cut above the rest (yes, I know) and then some.
